PR & Social Media Manager

For our branding team we are looking for a rising star that loves to help us telling our story to the world. This role gives you the autonomy to control all of EDGE’s day to day PR and Social Media activities relating to (inter)national PR, both online and offline. You will be creating high impact and creative content to engage and excite. As part of the Branding team, you will be a strong contributor in strengthening our brand and reputation.

We’re looking for someone with a passion for PR and Social Media, ideally with a bit of a journalism background, as well as knowledge in emerging web technologies and platforms. You also need to have a fundamental understanding of online marketing and be instinctively creative, with an eye for a great idea.

Responsibilities you have

• Recommend PR and (social) media opportunities to drive brand awareness and engagement
• Develop an innovative and integrated media strategy and contribute to the development of targeted media and identify relevant distribution platforms for mass and segmented communications
• Collaborate with other functions to define a media approach based on facts, learnings, insights and execution with relevant content and scale
• Collating good news stories, press coverage and other communications outputs
• Copywriting in a variety of styles and for a number of niches
• Preparation of content for both internal and external communications
• Source viable outlets to feature created content
• Undertake social media channel management as required

Skills you have

• Recent and proven experience working in a broad media landscape on and offline
• At least 3 – 5 years of work experience in PR, Social Media or communications
• Degree in Journalism, Communications or Marketing preferred
• Good knowledge of digital marketing channels
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong initiative, adaptability and collaboration skills
